When Was The Last Time You Were Sick?
There is a reason why I asked this less than positive question.
It doesn't matter if it is a minor or major disease. It's just not a positive sight. People feel sad when they are sick.
It is during this period of "down time" that people spend all their time mulling about their health, how much they want it back and how they will "do anything" to get that. Interestingly, being wealthy will no longer be relevant to them at that point. Meaning, they won't be thinking about the big houses, cars or making the next million — these things seem to be totally meaningless without their health.
At times, it takes being sick to remind you about the important things in your life. Think about the last time you were sick, resting on a bed or something. Sometimes you are too sick to even get out of bed to pour yourself a glass of water. When that happens, the only thing on your mind will be how much you want to be well again. The funny thing is, our health is always with us, but we put so little priority on it until we are on the verge of "losing" it.
When you're sick, suddenly the priorities of life start to appear in your mind, right in front of you. And I think that we all have the same priority - to spend more time with our love ones. The thing is, we CAN spend more time with the people we love RIGHT NOW. If you are alive and healthy, nothing's stopping you from doing that. You can say that you have to work or whatever excuses, but you know they are all excuses, right?
Money is important. Financial wealth is important. But time and health are more important because these are the "commodities" that allow you to do the important things in life.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking you to forsake money at all. Please don't. Don't be foolish, you need money to give you MORE time and GREATER health.
My simple piece of advice? Learn how to exchange money for time and use it to increase your health. If you don't know how to convert your money into time, then you're going to be a very frustrated person with a lot of useless money. And don't be cheap with health - it's just not worth it.
Good news is, you don't need to wait to get sick to appreciate what you have right now. You just need to know how to be grateful of what you already have. Well, you can start by visiting a hospital if you need visual impact.
My final piece of advice… MONEY is all around you, all of the time. With the right mindset and methods, you can always channel some money to your direction at any time. If you truly believe in that, embed that into your brain (this "millionaire mindset" is so vital for your success), you can never be worried about not having enough money and you can be present to enjoy your life, spending the time that you now have.
