iSkySoft Video Converter

• 1). Open your Web browser and visit the download page for iSkySoft Video Converter. (See Resources.) Click the "Download" button for a free trial version of the program, or click "Buy Now" to purchase the full version of the software. Double-click the ".dmg" file once download is complete to run through the setup process. Agree to the terms of use and launch iSkySoft Video Converter.
  
  
• 2). Open a new Finder window and locate the desired Flash video. Drag your file directly into iSkySoft's main interface.
  
  
• 3). Name your file in the "Output Name" field.
  
  Click the "Format" drop-down menu and choose one of the output MPEG options.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Convert" button to begin converting your Flash video to MPEG.
  
  

Macvide Flash Video Converter

• 1). Visit the download page for Macvide Flash Video Converter (see Resources) and click the "Download" button for a free version of the program. Double-click the installation file when download is complete, agree to the terms of use, and open the program.
  
  
• 2). Click the button to the right of the "Flash" field at the top-left of the screen to enter a pop-up Finder window. Browse your hard drive for your Flash video and click "Open." Wait for your video to load. (This may take a few moments.)
  
  
• 3). Click the button to the right of the "Video" field in the top-left corner to select an output location on your computer for your converted MPEG video. Click "OK."
  
  
• 4). Choose one of the "MPEG" output formats in the left panel of the page. Adjust your video's height and width, if necessary, in the "Properties" panel at the bottom-left of the screen.
  
  Press the "Start Conversion" button.
  
  

MPEG Streamclip

• 1). Open your Web browser and visit Squared5.com. Click one of the "Download MPEG Streamclip..." links. (If you want to download and convert YouTube videos with this program, you will need to download the beta version of MPEG Streamclip.) Double-click the MPEG Streamclip application file when download has finished, accept the licensing terms, and launch the program.
  
  
• 2). Locate your input Flash video in a new Finder window. Drag its icon into the empty MPEG Streamclip interface.
  
  
• 3). Click "File" at the top of your screen. If converting to MPEG-4, choose the "Export to MPEG-4..." option. If it is available, you can choose the "Export to MPEG..." option, or click on "Export to Other Formats..." to enter the "Movie Exporter" window.
  
  
• 4). Adjust the quality of your video with the "Quality" slide bar near the top of the page. Choose any "Compression Type" or "Frame Size" as desired; however, for general conversions, it is best to leave these presets alone.
  
  
• 5). Click "Make Movie" to enter a pop-up Finder window. Choose a location to save your output video to and name your file. Click "Save" to begin the conversion.
