Poor Nations Result In Self-Employed Citizens

103 28
It is a known fact that the unemployed in the developed nations receive some form of support from their Government.
This support is called unemployment benefits in some countries.
The benefit cushions the harsh effect of unemployment and causes the unemployed to live meaningfully like the employed.
These benefits may come in the form of free housing, free medical support, tax-free income allowance, etc.
Single parents are supported likewise.
In these countries, there is statistical record of the unemployed as the Government works hard to reduce the number of the unemployed.
The gap between the 'have' and the 'have-not' is very narrow and so there is no form of complex among the citizens.
The Government ensures the provision of basic amenities to every citizen.
These amenities include housing, medical, portable water supply, sewage & waste management, communication, good roads, etc.
This story is different in the poor nations or countries.
There is no record of un-employment as little or no employment is provided at all.
Every new graduate automatically graduates into the unemployment market.
There is poor road network or no road at all.
Trunk roads are not passable due to lack of maintenance plan.
There are no good medical facilities.
The medical facilities that exist are expensive and privately owned.
There is no form of support for the unemployed.
There is no regular electricity supply for the houses or businesses.
Citizens look for alternative source of electricity supply.
There is no portable water supply and so people also have to sort out their water supply.
Every amenity is expensive no matter how basic the amenity is.
The people have to pay for every thing they 'need' and leave out most of the things they 'want'.
With these failures from the government of these nations, it only leaves the unemployed only one option if the unemployed must survive: CREATE THE JOB: BE SELF-EMPLOYED.
This is the conditions of the citizens of these 'poor nations'.
These nations are called poor because of the standard of living of the citizens of these countries.
Some of these so-called 'poor nations' generate a good amount of foreign revenue but it is not used to better the living condition of the masses and so, the countries remain 'poor' and 'under-developed'.
One of the benefits from these poor countries is that it has produced a nation made up of people determined to succeed without the help of their government.
The lack of paid employment has helped develop the entrepreneurial mind of the citizens.
Every new graduate seeks to be self-employed.
Some new graduates resort to providing services such as hair barbing salon, restaurant business, trading, car-wash service, etc.
It is not surprising how well most of these self-employed businesses succeed with time.
The business venture that started small shall soon grow and have many other branches providing training to other youngsters who would soon start theirs.
Thanks to the failure of the government.
