ClickBank Step By Step
The reason why merchants in ClickBank are willing to give out such high commissions for every single product sale is because all the products in ClickBank are digital products, meaning customers can download the product directly upon successful payment.
As there are no inventory involved to store these items, nor are there any shipping and handling required (as these products can be downloaded on the spot), these cost savings are transferred to you (the affiliate) in that you receive more commissions.
In this post, I'm going to teach you step-by-step how you can go about promoting a ClickBank product.
1. Signing Up As A ClickBank Affiliate
Signing up as a ClickBank affiliate is free, and you can do so by clicking on the "Signup" link in ClickBank's home page to get started.
2. Selecting Products To Promote
After you've signed up to become an affiliate of ClickBank, you can proceed to look at products that you can promote in ClickBank's Marketplace.
There are many product categories for you to choose from, as well as tutorials to help you get started.
3. Understanding Product Statistics
If you have noticed, under every product listed, there are some statistics that's attached to each product under the product description, and here's what each of the statistic mean:
Future $: If you see a monetary value associated with it, this means that this product is a membership site that bills customers on a recurring basis (and you will receive commissions as well in future from the recurring billing)
Total $: An average of how much you'll receive for every single product sale that's referred by you.
Avg %/sale: Percentage of commissions you'll receive for every single sale you refer.
%/refd: This figure shows you how much of the product's total sale is referred by affiliates. If this number is very low, it means to say that the product owner is actively promoting his/her product.
Grav: This is a number computed by ClickBank which shows you roughly how many affiliates are promoting this product. The higher the number, it means to say that more affiliates are promoting the product.
4. Creating Your Affiliate Link
After you've found a product to promote in ClickBank's Marketplace, all you need to do is to click on the "Promote" button, and you'll see a new pop-up page, where you have to enter your account nickname.
After you have entered your account nickname, and click on the "Create" button below, and ClickBank will generate a unique affiliate link for you for the particular product which you like to promote. Now, you can start using this affiliate link and promote the product.
