How to Write SEO Rich Articles
- 1). Choose a list of two or three keyword phrases that should be included in the article. These are the terms that you will use for SEO.
- 2). Write the article as you normally would with information, flow and voice as your only points of concern.
- 3). Edit the article to add SEO keyword phrases. Replace pronouns like; it, their and my with your keyword phrases. Add your phrases every where they make sense.
- 4). Add an SEO title that includes the phrases you would like to include.
- 5). Run the numbers. An SEO rich article should have a keyword density of .5% to 5%. To figure your keyword density, use the highlight tool to highlight each time one keyword is used. Count up the keyword frequency. Divide this number by the total number of words and create your percentage.
EXAMPLE:
Keyword Frequency = 5
Total Words = 250
5/250 = .02
Move your decimal point two places to the right to get your percentage rate.
2% - 6). Add as many keywords as needed to reach at least .5% keyword density.
- 7). Edit one last time to ensure that the article still sounds good with the SEO enhancements.
- 8). Submit the article to your editor or place your content online.
