How To Deal With Being Away From Your Partner

103 9
When you are in a relationship, there are times that you are going to have to be away from your partner.
This might be for a weekend, a few days, or even months because of a work situation.
Many people will miss their partner and might even feel a bit depressed during this situation.
Find out what you can do to deal with your feelings when you are away from your partner so that you can feel better.
Ask your partner to let you know when this will happen.
You need to emotionally prepare for your partner leaving for even a few days so that you can expect it.
This gives you time to adjust to it happening.
When you find out that he or she is going to be gone, plan on being busy.
The busier you are the better it is.
Load up with things to do so you have less time to miss your partner.
Try to make some time with each other if you can.
The phone calls or emails will help quite a bit.
This might not be as good as being in person, but do your best to enjoy whatever time you do get with each other.
Try to be creative if you can't be in contact.
Write some letters for each other to read while apart.
Be sure you are getting your exercise.
Many who miss their partners tend to get depressed a bit.
When you exercise, it does help with this type of mild depression.
You will feel better doing it than not.
Do something new.
Plan something you have never done before and participate in that.
Spend time catching up with your family and friends that you haven't seen in awhile.
These are people that need your attention at some point in time too.
Do your best to not worry about the situation.
Learn to trust your partner enough to know that things will be the same when they come back.
