How to Use Vinegar to Clean Up Dog Urine
- 1). Wear rubber gloves to protect your hands from the urine. Place an open trash bag next to the urine stain.
- 2). Blot up the dog urine with paper towels and discard them in the trash bag. Avoid rubbing the urine stain because it will spread the liquid.
- 3). Dilute the area with water. Pour six to eight oz. of water over the urine and then blot it up with paper towels.
- 4). Pour vinegar into a spray bottle. Spray the urine stain with the vinegar, and then place a dry washcloth over the area. Let it sit for one hour and then rinse the area with cool water.
- 5). Dry the surface with a clean towel. You can speed up the drying process by placing a fan in front of the wet area.
