Winnie the Pooh in Hundred Acre Woods
Pooh walks through the Hundred Acre Wood in this movie photo from Disney's Winnie the Pooh (2011). In order to retain the charm of the original Pooh stories and the first film, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, flimmakers studied the books, original drawings by E.H. Here is what director Don Hall told us (at a round table interview) about that experience:
...On a whim we just threw out there, like, wouldn't it be cool if you sent us to England? -- not thinking that they would actually do it. And they came back and said sure, we'll send you to England, and we got to bring our art director, and our head of layout, and our head of background. And we got to go all around the Hundred Acre Wood with this guide -- this guy named Mike Ridley who was sort of a cool historian. And he kind of guided us around the whole place, and pointed out various locations that some of the stories were based on.
