This is an easy way to turn country style pork ribs into some delicious barbecue style ribs. The secret is to trim off the excess fat before you start. This way you don't end up with grease ribs.

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds/1.3 kg country style pork ribs, boneless
  • 1 tablespoon/15 mL oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cup/360 mL of barbecue sauce

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 600 minutes


  • Total Time: 610 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4


Preparation
Trim excess fat from ribs. Brown ribs in a hot skillet with oil on each side. Drain and transfer ribs to slow cooker or Crock-Pot. Place onion slices over ribs and pour barbecue sauce over top. Cook for 8 to 10 hours.
