Country crooner Joe Nichols has checked into rehab just one month after tying the knot with Heather Singleton. Joe and Heather had dated for over twelve years before finally taking the plunge.

Did the pressure of the big event push him over the edge? Or is Joe following in the footsteps of fellow country star Keith Urban? Keith headed for rehab only four months after he and Nicole Kidman were married in a lavish ceremony.

"As Joe has alluded to in interviews over the past year, he has struggled with the issue of substance abuse. In order to be a healthier person and deal with longstanding issues, he has entered into a rehabilitation program for consultation and treatment," according to a statement posted on his official site.

For the sake of Joe and Heather's long term relationship and very young marriage, let's just hope that he can successfully tackle those demons and come out on the other side.
