How to Make an Aggravation Game Board
- 1). Check your wood for damage which may prevent the game from working. To make a successful Aggravation board, the wood needs to be free of any defects such as cuts.
- 2). Measure 5.25 inches down the edge of the wood from the top left corner, and make a mark. Measure the same distance down the other edge from the same corner, and make another mark. Repeat for each corner until you have 2 marks from each or 8 marks in total.
- 3). Connect the marks together to produce an octagon shape.
- 4). Saw the corners off the board using the octagon edges as a guide.
- 5). Sand the edges of the board to create a smooth surface.
- 6). Measure 6 inches from one side of the board to find the center, and mark this.
- 7). Measure 2.25 inches up from the center mark, and place a mark here. Mark another 1.25 inches from this well, in the same line from the center mark, and place another mark. Repeat until there are four marks, each 1.25 inches away from each other. These four wells make one home zone.
- 8). Measure 2.25 inches left from the center mark, and make another home zone and described above. Repeat for 2.25 inches below the center mark, and 2.25 inches to the right of the mark.
- 9). Make a mark 2.25 inches to either side of each home zone well.
- 10
Mark five wells in a straight line 1.25 inches apart, which links together the two lines of marks into a 'U' shape. - 11
Measure the diagonal edge of the board, and mark half way. Repeat so that all diagonal corners have a mark at half way. - 12
Draw a straight line from the original center mark to the half way mark in each corner. - 13
Place a mark 1.1 inches from the half way mark, on the line to the centre. Repeat so that there are four equally spaced wells on each corner. - 14
Push the plunge router into the marks, making the wells ½ inch deep.
