You can create a friendly environment in your backyard, with a few trees and shrubs that birds would like to perch and even nest in. A bird bath would be ideal since most birds require water regularly to quench their thirst and get over the heat. It is said that during the spring time, a backyard bird bath would attract many of them while they also bring their young for their first baths.

The main food types that anyone should consider are seeds. There are various types of seeds that are available and you can choose either a mix of a number of wild bird seeds or single types. What you should know is that if you are planning on feeding birds, you should know what they like to eat. A fact that you should always remember is that if you maintain feeders and bird baths, you have to see to the maintenance and hygiene of them as well. Feeders will have to be cleaned more often during wet weather and even during high usage periods.
