Karam Lebanese Cuisine‎

• Karam began as a pizzeria, but has slowly morphed into a quality Lebanese restaurant. All of the food, including the pita bread, is made fresh daily from scratch. Menu items include kafta kebabs, shawarma plates, chicken couscous, goat bil tfeen, samak trout and eggplant stews. Pizzas and calzones are also available. Alcohol is not served. Karam is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. Reservations are not needed.

Abu-Rasheed Lebanese Restaurant‎

• Abu-Rasheed has been serving Lebanese food in downtown Portland for more than 15 years. The decor is modeled after the deep green found in Lebanese cedar trees. Offerings include the Abu Rasheed special (serves four, and features several forms of kebabs, onion salad and pita bread), shish tawook, lahim ganaam, boiled cabbage leaves and a vegetarian special. Abu-Rasheed is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. Reservations are unnecessary. Catering services are also offered.

Ya Hala Lebanese Cuisine‎

• Ya Hala serves up traditional Lebanese food in a pleasant dining room full of Lebanese art. If you like the food, you can buy the same ingredients, as well as cookbooks, at the restaurant's sister store next door. Dishes include baba ghanouj, fish kebabs, kousa stew, lamb shanks, vegan makloube and beef artichoke hearts. A variety of wines are available to complement the meal.
