How to Grow Long, Strong Fingernails
I loved my acrylic nails.
As a young adult I spent $20 every 2 weeks on getting a fill-in at the nail salon.
After a while I noticed that moisture was getting in-between my nail plate (nail bed) and the acrylic.
My nail plate (nail bed) began to turn green.
I was told that this was a fungus.
I purchased an anti-fungal medication from the beauty supply and applied the medication to my nails for one month.
From that point forward I never wore acrylic nails again.
My sister's nails were long and thick.
I wanted my nails to grow.
She gave me a tip on how to grow my nails and it worked.
Here are the tips she gave me on how to grow long, strong fingernails: Note: If you are allergic to any of the products mentioned please do not use.
Step 1: Apply the cuticle remover to the cuticle area.
This is the area at the lower base of your nail plate (nail bed).
Step 2: Take the cuticle stick and push back your cuticles to remove any dead skin.
Step 3: Wash and dry your hands Step 4: Fill a disposable bowl with vinegar (just enough to cover your entire fingernail.
) Step 5: You can start with either hand.
Submerge your fingernail in the vinegar and let them soak for about 5 minutes.
Step 6: Wash and dry your hands.
Step 7: Apply cuticle oil and gently massage the cuticle oil around the cuticle area.
Step 8: Wash and dry your hands.
Step 9: You can now apply nail polish, nail hardener or leave them natural.
Repeat this process every 3 days until you begin to see growth then once a week until your desired nail length is reached.
It may seem like a lot of steps but this procedure can be completed in less than 20 minutes.
Following the procedure above my nails grow like weeds.
It has been 7 years since I used the procedure and my nails continue to grow.
I clip and shape my nails every month.
