Make money from your home! The top ten 10 creative ways to use your home to gain that extra bit of cash!
  1. Have a Foreign Language Student or visiting Lecturer rent a room: As English is still widely used across the World especially for business then the UK is a popular spot for overseas students to learn English.
    As such a number of Language Schools have sprouted up across the UK and what do overseas students need, yes, somewhere to stay.
    So the opportunity here is rent a room to a Language Student on a short term basis! Searching online to find out where if there is a school near you is a good start.
  2. Help make movie magic: Want to be famous? Well we can't do that but we could make your home a hit! Ever wondered how TV companies get their settings, their backdrops? Watch TV for a bit and you will see hundreds of homes being used as sets, think of 'Prime Suspect' or 'Phoenix Nights' and there are thousands more.
    The house that are used as backdrops are rented from people who are prepared to do so, often for a tidy sum! Sign up to an agency that specialises in this area, often for free, and soon you could be hosting the latest 'Inspector Morse'.
    And more than likely they will only need to film {the exterior of your home|the outside of your house} as all internal scenes are shot in a studio! The agency will charge you a commission but you could still earn up to a £1k a day depending on the property type and location.
    Not bad but you do need to take into account the disruption to your daily routine during filming, which could take months!
