If you want to know how to remove a bankruptcy [http://bankruptcy-removal.blogspot.com] from your credit report, you will need to follow some simple steps. People want to remove bankruptcies for different reasons. Some people may want to qualify for a lower interest rate on home loans. Some people want to know how to dispute a bankruptcy simply because it's been 10 years since they last filed for bankruptcy and the record still remains in their credit report. "Is it possible to remove a bankruptcy?" and "is it legal to remove a bankruptcy?" These are questions you might to be asking yourself. It all depends is your answer.

If you want to remove the erroneous bankruptcy record off your credit report, first thing you will need to do is write a dispute letter on the item you want to remove. After you sent the letter it takes a few weeks before all 3 credit bureaus write you back to ask for any supporting documentation that can validate your claim. A lot of times even if the credit bureaus can validate this on their own but they don't do it because of their laziness so they end up sending you a default letter to tell you to send them documentations. So even if you were to send them documents it doesn't guarantee they will look into it. So what you need to do is keep sending them the same letter until they actually read it. This process may take months. So, "how to dispute a bankruptcy" and "how do I remove a bankruptcy?" you may still be asking. There's no solid answer to this, except a lot of time and patience.

My personal experience hasn't been all that successful even though that my bankruptcy was filed back in 1997 and it has been 2 years since I hired a credit repair company and I am still battling on getting my bankruptcy deleted. I am running out of patience, but I am still trying hard to dispute a bankruptcy.

My recommendation is to start disputing early, what this means is right after you file for bankruptcy start this process right of way. The earlier you can get it off your record the better.

The way I started my quest to remove a bankruptcy is when I lost my job and was looking for a new job. The employer turned me down because my credit report had a bankruptcy in it. What was I suppose to do? I have to make a living right? It's either I seek ways to remove it off my record or I starve and go homeless. I mean the choice was simple for me. I started to wonder "how to dispute a bankruptcy" and "how do I remove a bankruptcy?" "is it possible to remove a bankruptcy?" "is it legal to remove a bankruptcy?" All these questions keep popping into my head.

I did some online searches and watched some youtube videos and their recommendations on how to remove a bankruptcy from a credit report is basically writing letters to all 3 credit bureaus and keep doing it until you get some results. Like I said this step is tedious but in the end it may help you. I personally was able to remove some of the erroneous items besides my bankruptcy, but bankruptcy is the only one that I need to remove…so my quest continues and I hope those people will start reading their letters so I can get this bankruptcy removal over with!
