    • 1). Remove the air intake from the throttle body. Unbolt the air box first, then unplug the mass air flow sensor and the vacuum line. The air intake is held to the throttle body with a compression band. This can be removed with a flat screwdriver.

    • 2). Install the air intake hood included with the supercharger kit directly over the throttle body using the included compression fitting.

    • 3). Remove the drive belt from the front of the engine and then install the supercharger bracket. Different kits' superchargers mount onto different positions on the engine, so follow the kit manufacturer's specifications for where to place the supercharger bracket.

    • 4). Install the supercharger onto the bracket, typically above the alternator, then install the new drive belt included with the kit in place of the old belt, but routing it as instructed in the supercharger's instructions. Every kit routes the belt differently according to the mounting position of the supercharger.

    • 5). Install the air inlet into the supercharger, and the air filter onto the end of the inlet tube. The next tube will mount onto the supercharger outlet and route to the air intake.

    • 6). Install the vacuum lines and the mass air flow sensor onto the supercharger kit's intake tubes. There may also be mounting brackets for the intake tubing which will prevent rattling when the engine is running. Install these brackets now and be certain to tighten down all the fittings on the supercharger, particularly those hoses or pipes which lead from the supercharger into the air intake, as these are the pressurized lines.
