Assembling

• 1). Cut out the fabric or felt in the desired shapes using scissors. Each figure will need to have a front and back. Add details and features with markers or by cutting out small pieces and attaching with double-sided tape.
  
  
• 2). Make sure the front and back halves are the same size.
  
  
• 3). Cut pieces of foam in the general shape of your character but about 1/2-inch smaller all around. Sandwich the foam between the front and back pieces of the character.
  
  
• 4). Use a hot-glue gun to seal the edges. A child can use the double-sided tape; it might not last for an extended time, but it will allow the child to deconstruct and reconstruct characters.
  
  
• 5). Allow the hot glue to cool before playing with the character.
