How to Troubleshoot the Blackberry 7290
- 1). Turn on the Bluetooth radio signal to enable the Blackberry to be paired with another device. Scroll to the "Options" icon and click it using the trackball, or press the "Enter" button. Click the "Bluetooth" icon and choose to "Enable Bluetooth" to place the phone in discovery mode.
- 2). Recover a deleted service book if it was mistakenly deleted. The service book determines the features available on your Blackberry. Click the "Options" icon, then select "Advanced Options," choose "Service Book," press the "Menu" key and then select "Undelete." Deleted service books will be retrieved.
- 3). Restore your Blackberry 7290 if it was accidentally cleared. Click the "Start" button on your computer desktop and select "All Programs." Click the "Blackberry" icon and open the Blackberry software program. Connect the Blackberry to the computer using a USB cable and click on the "Restore and Backup" option to restore any backed up data to your Blackberry device.
- 4). Change your default browser if the incorrect browser is opening when links are clicked in an email or message. Click the "Options" icon, select the "Advanced Options," and then choose "Browser." Adjust the "Default Browser Configuration" field to the preferred browser. Save changes to confirm the request.
