How to Draw a Reindeer for Kids
- 1). Draw a large vertically oriented oval in pencil for the reindeer's head. The oval should take up about the bottom two-thirds of the picture's total height.
- 2). Draw a small horizontal oval about halfway down the face for the reindeer's nose. The nose should be about one-third of the total width of the face.
- 3). Draw two black ovals slightly above the nose to make the reindeer's eyes. The eyes should be tall and narrow. You can draw them at slight outward angles.
- 4). Draw two horizontal ovals with pointy ends for the reindeer's ears. The ears should be roughly horizontal, with the bottom of each ear at about the height of the eyes.
- 5). Draw a smile under the nose. It can be as simple as a single upturned curve. Or if you're a little more ambitious you can draw a big grin by drawing two curves, one above the other, and connecting them with vertical lines at both ends, and at regular intervals in between.

Draw the antlers sticking out of the top of the head. Reindeer antlers look like knobbly branches so draw branching antlers with rounded tips. If you need to experiment a little to find what looks good, use a separate sheet of paper or simply erase unsatisfying attempts. - 7). Trace over the picture with a pen, skipping any lines that you don't want to keep in the final picture. Erase stray pencil marks.
