How to Make Furry, Fluffy Leg Warmers
- 1). Cut off the feet of your socks. You can use old socks you already have at home, or buy new ones. The socks won't show because they will be hidden beneath the fluffy faux fur.
- 2). Put on the sock and measure the circumference of your leg where the sock is at three different points -- under your knee, above your ankle and around your lower calf.
- 3). Place the faux fur on a flat workspace with the fur facing down. Cut it in half. Place your measuring tape on each fur square and mark your leg measurements with a fabric marker. Join the markings with a straight line. Cut along these lines. You can find faux fur at any fabric store.
- 4). Measure the length of the sock. Mark this on the fur, and cut off the excess fabric.
- 5). Pin the faux fur onto the socks with fabric pins. Use contrasting pins that are easier to see so you don't get pricked.
- 6). Sew the fur onto the sock with a needle and thread. You can also use a small hand-held sewing machine, but don't use a large sewing machine -- it will just stretch out the sock.
