Felt Pillow

• 1). Cut two squares of felt from one of the rolls measuring 12 by 12 inches each.
  
  
• 2). Squeeze a line of hot glue along the bottom and side edges of one square of felt. Leave the top edge unglued.
  
  
• 3). Press the second square of felt over the first, evenly. Press on the glued edges to adhere it firmly. Let the layers of felt dry for 10 minutes. Turn it inside-out, which creates a smooth seam.
  
  
• 4). Stuff the pillow with enough batting to make it plush. For a 12 by 12 inch plush pillow about 2 lbs. of batting is ideal.
  
  
• 5). Squeeze a line of hot glue along the inside of one of the unglued edges of the pillow. Press the two edges together to adhere them firmly. Let the pillow dry.
  
  

Felt Design

• 1). Cut a square of felt measuring 24 by 24 inches, from one of the rolls. You can either use felt in the same color as the felt pillow, or use a contrasting tone. The choice is yours.
  
  
• 2). Use the pencil to draw 12 circles measuring 5 inches in diameter. Draw 12 circles measuring 3 inches in diameter. Draw 24 circles measuring 1 inch in diameter. Cut all of the circles out of the felt.
  
  
• 3). Squeeze a dot of hot glue onto the back-center of each of the largest felt circles. Adhere these circles in a triangular formation starting at the top edge of the pillow.
  
  
• 4). Squeeze a dot of hot glue onto the center of one of the 3-inch-diameter circles. Aim the felt circle with the glue facing upward. Position your fingers and thumb beneath it and then pinch inward, creating a dimensional rosette. Do this with all of the 3-inch-diameter circles as well as the 1-inch-diameter felt circles.
  
  
• 5). Squeeze a dot of hot glue onto the back-center of each felt rosette and adhere them to various parts of the glued-on felt circles. Start at the center and work your way outward, to create the illusion of a fluffy hydrangea that is thinning out at its edges. Let the pillow dry for 2 hours before displaying, wrapping or presenting it as a gift.
