    • 1). Hold the shoe with the toe facing you. Place one end of the shoelace into the left eyelet closest to the toe, lacing it from the outside toward the inside of the shoe. Push the right end of the shoelace into the right eyelet, also starting from the outside and pushing it inside the shoe to form a horizontal line.

    • 2). Pull the shoelaces taught so the right side is longer than the left side.

    • 3). Take the left shoelace and lace it through the third eyelet from the toe on the left side, skipping the eyelet directly above it. Push the lace from the inside of the shoe to the outside.

    • 4). Cross over the left shoelace and push it through the right eyelet that is third from the toe, working from the outside to the inside of the shoe. This creates another horizontal line. Pull tight so the shoelace lies flat.

    • 5). Continue working with the left shoelace and push it through the fifth eyelet from the bottom, skipping the eyelet directly above it. Push it from the inside to the outside of the shoe.

    • 6). Cross the shoelace over to the parallel eyelet on the left side, fifth from the bottom. Push the shoelace through from the outside to the inside, creating the third parallel line.

    • 7). Start lacing the right side of the shoelace, repeating a similar pattern to the left shoelace. Run the shoelace through the second eyelet from the toe on the right side, working from the inside to the outside of the shoe.

    • 8). Cross the lace over to the left side and push it through the second eyelet from the toe, working from the outside to the inside. Continue the same pattern for the fourth eyelet and sixth eyelet from the bottom of the shoe.

    • 9). Finish with both laces inside the shoe, on the left side at the sixth eyelet from the toe.

Tie the laces in a knot inside the shoe and push to the side. Change the position or size of the knot if you feel any discomfort. Repeat the same steps on the other shoe.
