How to Adjust Keg Pressure
- 1). Check the pressure gauge on the regulator before adjusting temperature. Most kegs should be between 5 and 20 pounds per square inch, depending on volume and temperature.
- 2). Attach the nozzle of the carbon dioxide tank to the keg's coupler.
- 3). Slowly let the gas flow into the keg, keeping an eye on the keg's pressure gauge.
- 4). Cut off the gas supply when the pressure gauge has reached the desired pounds per square inch. Check the recommendations of your keg but, generally, this is between 10 and 15 pounds per square inch.
- 5). Detach the carbon dioxide gas tank from the coupler.
