Jaydev tells krishna and his friends that major problem with agriculture is small fragmented land holdings, lack of adoption of modern farming techniques, lack of adequate irrigation facilities, and excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides which reduces fertility of land and excessive dependence on rainfall due to inadequate irrigation facilities.

Jaydev further said that only waiver of loans will not solve the problem of farmers, what they need is crop insurance, quality seeds, irrigation facilities, modern method of farming, and cooperative production and sale of their produce which will best safeguard their interest as well as insurance of their livestock.

Jaydev also stressed the need for proper storage of agricultural produce in scientific public and private warehouses, as bulk of cereals and pulses gets damaged during rainy season due to open storage. Jaydev expressed his happiness about the e-initiatives taken by few Indian conglomerates to empower the rural farmer with the latest information about the market price of his produce, weather information, information about best farming practices and facility to sell their produce and purchase quality seeds and farming equipments.
