How to Replace the Side View Mirror on a 2008 Honda Civic

    • 1). Roll down the window on the side of the mirror that you want to replace.

    • 2). Disconnect the negative cable from the battery under the hood.

    • 3). Wedge the screwdriver between the corner panel covering the mirror (on the inside) and the door, and pull the panel off.

    • 4). Disconnect the clip that is holding the mirror's wires and the door's wires.

    • 5). Hold the mirror with one hand and unscrew the three bolts attached to the mirror with the other hand.

    • 6). Attach the new mirror in the old one's place and screw the three bolts back on.

    • 7). Reconnect the clip to re-attach the wires and replace the panel.

    • 8). Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.

    • 9). Start your car and move the mirror to test it.
