What Is A Pinched Nerve? A pinched nerve is a condition in which a nerve (anywhere in your body) is being pressed or pressurized from the surrounding tissues such as cartilage, tendons, bones or muscles.
In normal circumstances no nerve in your body is being pressed or pressured by the surrounding tissues.
What Happens When A Nerve Is Pinched? A surrounding tissue is presses a nerve, be it anywhere in your body; the pressure causes to disrupt or constrict the nerve from performing its functions properly.
Symptoms of a Pinched Nerve When your nerve is constricted in a manner as mentioned above; the symptoms usually surface in the form of a tingling sensation, numbness and weakness which then thus, cause pain.
Examples of a Pinched Nerve As mentioned earlier, a pinched nerve can occur anywhere in the body.
But, it is most common in the spine (lower back region) and the wrist (hands and fingers).

The following follows a seated message therapy which can be easily administered by your loved ones on your effected area.
This method requires you, the back pain sufferer, to sit on a turned chair such that the chair's back is pressed in front of you.
Then ask your loved one to first apply gentle pressure with their knee on to your effected back area.
Gently press the back in small circling motions.
Next, move on to the thighs.
Follow the same procedure only, this time, with the hands and not the knee and move from the knee to the hip.
Now, move onto the calf and again follow the same procedure with hands.
This time, move from the knee to the foot.
