How to Activate My AT&T Phone Card
- 1). Locate your IMEI number. It is a 15-digit number. You can find it on the box, or beneath your phone's battery. If your phone is powered on, even though it is not yet activated, you can get your IMEI number by dialing *#06# and pressing "Send." The IMEI number will appear on the screen of your phone.
- 2). Locate your SIM card number. Near the center of your phone card, you will see your SIM card. It is a very small punchout card, measuring less than a square inch. You can actually push the SIM card out of your phone card. On the back of the SIM card, you will see a 20-digit number that starts with the digits 89. The number will be identified as the ICCID. This is your SIM card number.
- 3). Decide whether to activate via live phone agent, automated phone system or online. According to an AT&T representative, using a live agent by phone may get you faster results.
- 1). Call AT&T Customer Service. You can find the phone number on the back of the phone card, in printed materials that were packaged with the phone and online at the Contact Us screen.
- 2). Choose to speak with a customer service agent.
- 3). Give your IMEI number, SIM card (ICCID) number, and ZIP code when asked. The agent will confirm that your phone card is activated and ready for use.
- 1). Phone the activation number prominently displayed on your new card.
