How to Clean Lansky Sharpening Stones
- 1). Feel the surface of the stone. A smooth stone indicates that the grit has been covered by displaced stone and metal fragments. Also feel for any cracks or chips in the surface of the stone.
- 2). Soak the stone in warm water for fifteen minutes. This will facilitate cleaning by opening the pores of the stone.
- 3). Scrub the stone with a toothbrush. The bristles of the toothbrush will displace dust and other debris from the small pores of the stone.
- 4). Wipe the surface of the stone with a rag.
- 5). Dry the stone before your next use.
