How to arrive in Thailand with a Thai visa?
The Thailand visa application is no different from the other visa application processes around the world. However most of the requirements are different from the other countries as compared to visa application Thailand. In this article we tell you how to apply for Thailand visa before you make your trip.
Applying for a visa before the trip
First, you need to get the Thailand visa application form, which is available online and at the visa application center. Based on your purpose of visit, you can apply for the visa application Thailand, and pay the necessary fees for the visa. • Passport with 6 months validity and two opposite blank page
• Thailand visa application form completely filled without any mistakes
• Two recent photographs
• Confirmed tickets, one way or return
• Proof of adequate finance in the bank through an official bank statement
• Proof of lodging or hotel accommodation with details of the stay.
• Health insurance if possible
Once you have all your documents ready, you will have to submit them, along with fees. As each visa type has different visa fees, you can go online and check the visa fee category for each visa type. Once you submit everything, you will have to wait till you get the approval. You can track your visa application online through the unique barcode reference given at the time of submission of your application. You can also contact the application office to check your status. Once you get the approval, you can either pick up your passport or you can have it couriered it you. This process takes anywhere between 3 to 6 days depending on the working days and holidays. If there is an urgency, you can get your visa in 24 hours.
Visa on Arrival
You can now apply for a visa on arrival to Thailand. This is only available to 19 countries that consist of Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Maldives, Mauritius, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan and Ukraine. You can get your visa from anywhere between 10 minutes to a few hours. Here are the requirements to know how to apply for Thailand Visa application on arrival
• The purpose of visit is strictly only for tourism purposes.
• You must have a confirmed return ticket to show exit out of Thailand within 30 or 15 days of entry. Open tickets do not qualify. You can only exit via flying and no other kind of travel. E.g.; Bus, train, boats etc
• You will be asked to show proof that you have funds over 20,000 THB per head during the stay. You may have to pay 1,000 THB upon entry.
