The Bold World Of Digital Photography
Finally came the day when your pictures or slides were developed. You rush them home and, in the case of slides, setup the screen and the projector and see the final results. Some good, some bad. But too late to do anything about it. The vacation spot where you took your pictures exists back in time many days and many time zones away.
Thank goodness for the dawn of digital photography. Early on people were slow to accept it because, truth be told, the early digital images weren't all that good and suffered mightily when compared to film. And the early digital cameras weren't cheap.
But as time went by, the quality of digital cameras improved greatly, until today, when you can pick up a truly excellent mega-pixel camera for under $150.00. The advantages are obvious. You know immediately whether the picture you've just taken is good or not and you have the opportunity to correct any mistakes right away.
You don't have to fumble with film or carry several extra roles around - and, of course, film was expensive. A single memory card does the trick now. And with today's technology, you have the ability to share your pictures with family and friends instantly and at no expense via your computer and the Internet.
Digital photography has indeed come a long way. The convenience and quality make today's digital photo world a delight.
