Press Release: Cornerstone Family Farms and Enviro-Max, Inc. Saving Energy
Indianapolis, IN- Cornerstone Family Farms was awarded a $4,531 grant from USDA through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) to upgrade their facility. The applicant farms throughout Washington and surrounding counties. This project was an Energy Efficiency improvement that upgraded the lighting system in the agricultural equipment storage warehouse where the farm supplies are stored. The new light fixtures use less than half of the previous energy consumed.
The Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant is eligible for farmers, ranchers and rural small businesses that need financial assistance. The grants are awarded on a competitive basis and can be given up to 25% of the total project cost. Cornerstone Family Farms was awarded the full 25%.

Enviro-Max Inc., a company based out of Indianapolis, completed this project in October 2011.
