Gas Saving Street Scooters

103 22
I am selling my Chevy pick up and riding my Harley Davidson Fatboy back and forth to work after all it gets 40 plus miles per gallon.
Of course gas savings is not the only reason I ride my Fatboy scooter on the street, I also love riding.
With the price of gas hanging out over $4 a gallon, I figured it would help the pocket book a little bit to ride more.
I see a whole lot more motorcycle riders as well as smaller street scooters riding now that gas savings is gaining importance.
Smaller street scooters used to be only for those too young to drive a "real" vehicle or those who had lost their drivers license for one reason or another.
Not anymore, we find lots of people switching over to street scooters because of their ability to save on high gas prices.
Gas saving street scooters are flying off the shelves as people of all ages are realizing the gas savings they can have riding them.
More and more men and women are now running their errands riding an easy to ride street scooter.
One of the main differences between a motorcycle and a street scooter is the shifting ability.
A motorcycle like my Fatboy has a standard shift while street scooters are automatic shift.
In other words, give it the gas and go.
So easy just about anyone can ride one.
Perhaps two of the most popular sizes of street scooters are the 50cc and the 80cc models which can average between 75 and 100 miles per gallon.
These smaller models are great little rides and very dependable.
Larger models ranging in the 150cc to 250cc are also available if you want to travel longer distances on your gas saving street scooter.
It just makes sense to check out the gas savings you can get by purchasing a street scooter.
Whether that scooter is a Honda, Yamaha, Vespa or other street scooter you can go a long way for a couple of bucks in gas.
