How to Clean Electric Stove Drip Pans
- 1). Add ¼ cup baking soda to a pot of boiling water big enough to fit the drip pans into.
- 2). Boil the drip pans for 15 minutes and remove from the pot carefully as they will be extremely hot.
- 3). Scrub any residual grease away with a clean cloth. It should be loosened by the boiling and very easy to remove.
- 1). Create a paste with equal parts cream of tartar and water.
- 2). Using a clean cloth or sponge, apply the paste to the drip pans and allow them to sit overnight.
- 3). Rinse the pans in warm soapy water and dry with a soft dry cloth.
- 1). Drop six tablets of Alka-Seltzer into a basin of warm water.
- 2). Place the drip pans into the water and allow them to soak for one hour.
- 3). Take the drip pans out and scrub with a damp cloth.
