    Handsets

    • Qwest offers Verizon Wireless handsets at discounted prices with the activation of a one- or two-year contract. As of May 2010, select phones are eligible for mail-in or online instant rebates and "buy one, get one free" offers. Nokia, LG, Samsung, Motorola, and Casio are among the manufacturers that produce Qwest's line of Verizon-branded phones. Basic accessories such as wall chargers and product guides come standard with each device, with the option for subscribers to purchase additional extras. Additionally, customers who place their order online receive free shipping within the United States.

    Plans

    • Qwest offers both individual and family cell phone plans through its Verizon Wireless agreement. Verizon Wireless offers nationwide calling plans that all feature unlimited mobile to mobile calls to other subscribers on the Verizon nationwide network. All nationwide calling plans also feature unlimited night and weekend calling in addition to whatever daytime minute allotment the subscriber selects. Individual plan prices start at $59.99, while shared family plan prices begin at $99.99.

    Bundling

    • Qwest cell phone subscribers have the option to bundle their mobile phone service with other Qwest offerings. By combining cell phone service with Qwest's high-speed Internet, home phone, and satellite TV offerings, subscribers can save $60 to $240 per year, all billed on the same monthly statement. Subscribers can also "bundle" voice mail services. Customers who subscribe to both home and cell phone service can link the two phones with Qwest's One Number service. Qwest's One Number service means "one number to give out, one voice mail box to manage."

    Coverage

    • Qwest's cell phone service is backed by Verizon. Verizon's 3G network allows subscribers to browse the web and download data from their mobile phone at broadband speeds. There may be an additional fee for web and data packages. Coverage is available in all 50 states.

    Recycling Program

    • With Qwest's Go Green For Schools program, cellular service subscribers can recycle old handsets. The Go Green For Schools program raises money for schools and educational programs, and helps reduce green house gas emissions. Donors will receive a prepaid mailing label after choosing the state and organization that they wish to receive the proceeds of their donation. FedEx is the required carrier if the donor is donating four or more phones.
