- An OFCCP payroll clerk must have math and calculator skills to review and adjust payroll amounts. Knowledge of exempt and non-exempt salary rules is necessary for success, while oral communication abilities enable the clerk to clearly explain payroll procedures to employees.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment as an OFCCP payroll clerk. An associate degree or certificate of completion in accounting or payroll administration is an asset, while professional experience in accounting or payroll processing is helpful.
