What Is the Difference Between Wireless & Cordless Headphones?
- Cordless headphones do not require a cable to connect to the audio source. They have a microphone attached inside. Signals are transmitted from audio sources, such as a radio or mobile phone, using technology, such as radio frequency.
- In wireless headphones, signals are transmitted from the audio source into the headphone using infrared (IR) rays. Signals are transmitted in various media. Some of them are Bluetooth signals and radio signals. Radio signals can cover a wide area but bluetooth signals have a limited reach.
- Cordless devices are used normally for short range due to interference of the signal by objects. On the other hand, a radio frequency signal remains strong and can cover longer distance.
