Setting a Password for Your Wireless Network

• 1). Make sure your wireless router is turned on.
  
  
• 2). Access your computer's "Network and Sharing" screen by clicking through the following options: "Start," "Control Panel" and "Network and Sharing Center."
  
  
• 3). Click "Set up a new connection or network," and then select the option "Manually connect to a wireless network." After selecting the manual option, click "Next."
  
  
• 4). Enter the information you are prompted to provide by the screen, including the password you will use to access the network . Under "Security Type," select "WEP." After the information is completely rendered, click "Next."
  
  
• 5). Click through "Change Connection Settings," "Security" and "Security Type." Select the "Shared" option, click "OK" and close out of the setup window.
