How to Repair an Imploded Motorcycle Gas Tank
- 1). Empty all fuel in the imploded motorcycle gas tank into a portable fuel tank.
- 2). Screw the gas cap firmly into place on the imploded motorcycle gas tank.
- 3). Seal the fuel intake hole in the imploded motorcycle gas tank firmly with a tank seal. A tank seal can be purchased from a retailer or can be improvised by sealing the hole with a rubber seal. The tank seal must have a hole in its center for inserting the air compressor nozzle.
- 4). Put on safety glasses and work gloves.
- 5). Turn on the air compressor.
- 6). Stick the air compressor nozzle in the tube seal and apply air pressure of approximately 120 psi. This should be enough to re-expand the imploded motorcycle gas tank.
