Nottingham Population: Age Groups and Growth Areas
The population of the City itself is 300,800, while that of the Nottingham travel-to-work area is 786,600.
The actual numbers should be slightly higher, as Nottingham and the surrounding areas have steadily grown in recent years.
More on the age groups and the major growth areas of Nottingham below.
Age Groups The latest age groups estimates for Greater Nottingham date back to the middle of 2009.
The Nottingham City Council believes that the population has increased since then.
However, as more recent estimates are not yet available, the extent of the supposed population growth cannot be predicted.
As a result, the 2009 figures must be used for reference.

Growth Areas There have been no recent studies concerned with estimating the population growth of the wards and communities in Nottingham, so giving accurate estimates is impossible.
Nevertheless, as the City Council states, Nottingham has seen a steady population increase as of lately.
Berridge (19,050 persons), Aspley (17,140), Dales (15,960), Radford and Park (20,470), St.
Anns (17,270), and Bestwood (16,860) are the most populous wards of Nottingham, according to 2009 estimates.
The growth of the city proper has been consistent, and although no estimates currently exist, noticeable growth driven by development has been seen in areas such as West Bridgeford.
