Obviously it worked for a time for the people who are at the top of the company and before technology allowed us a better way to obtain a downline.
So where does that leave the others who are looking to obtain the financial freedom they've dreamed about? A MLM tip that isn't shared in the "rah-rah" of recruitment is that there is a 95% failure rate with MLMs.
It's pretty discouraging, right? Or you could look at it another way - that there is a way to become successful and in fact become one of the top producers in your MLM if you think like a real business owner.
Sounds like an obvious MLM tip but people often treat it as a get rich quick method without taking the time to put systems in place for success.
So how do you use this MLM tip so that can start on the right foot and not become a part of the dismal failure rate? Well...
you need to ask yourself some questions.
What do successful business owners do to grow? They market.
Do they market to anyone and everyone? No.
If that worked then the friends and family you know would be jumping on board - and they would be staying there.
Business owners take the time to find out who their customers really are.
They really get to know exactly what their customers want and need and then they look for a way to fulfill it.
It's targeted.
Can you have some success talking to anybody and everybody? Yes, but you're not going to have sustainable growth at the speed you want and will have more failures than successes.
Think of how much time you have spent in people's houses or dragging reluctant people to hotel rooms for presentations or buying lunches for people who only came for the free lunch trying desperately to convince them that they need what you're selling.
Now think of what successful business owners do in order to have people coming to them who have a want or need for what they're selling.
They use targeted marketing.
They expand their reach to include a bigger audience.
And this is the best part...
when they provide a product or service to the right audience their customers stay because they wanted to be there in the first place.
As an MLM tip, treating your business as a true business and employing a marketing system is a key step in creating the kind of success only previously dreamed about.
