How to Get Rid of Sweaty Hands?

103 8
There are a lot of people who would love to know how to get rid of sweaty hands.
This condition is called palmar hyperhidrosis and it can be very distressing.
It often affects adolescents.
Of course it is very embarrassing because there is no way of hiding it.
The sweating can occur even in icy weather.
The palms may be cold, but they will still drip with sweat.
Apart from the humiliation, palmar hyperhidrosis can affect simple functions.
Holding a pen can be difficult, therefore writing an exam is a problem.
If that's not bad enough, you have to try and avoid wetting the exam papers.
Because the palms are constantly wet and clammy, this predisposes them to bacterial and fungal infections.
The strange thing about the condition is that it disappears during sleep.
The cause is still under debate but some experts believe it is caused by an over-active sympathetic nervous system which stimulates the sweat glands unnecessarily.
Often, palmar hyperhidrosis is accompanied by sweating of the face, scalp, armpits and soles of the feet.
There are a number of ways to address this condition.
These involve certain treatments and therapies, or even surgery.
Before resorting to medical intervention, you can help by changing your diet and trying a self-help remedy.
Cut down on eating foods that have a high content of iodine.
Avoid vegetables like white onions, asparagus and broccoli.
Avoid meats like turkey, liver and beef.
It is thought that iodine can stimulate the sweat glands.
Put five teabags in a quart of water and boil.
When cool, soak the palms for 30 minutes.
The tannins in tea have properties that work like an antiperspirant.
You can also hold the tea bags in your palms for about 10-15 minutes.
This remedy comes from a dermatologist so if you want to get rid of sweaty hands, it's definitely worth a try.
I personally used a sweating home remedy by following an online guide that worked for me, and you can find out more about it at my website link below.
