Camping is an exciting adventure that can let you escape the modern world. It lets you get out into nature while forgetting about things for a little bit. The article below is packed with useful camping tips that can be used in the future.

You need to make sure your sleeping bag is sufficient for the climate. If you bring sub-zero sleeping bags with you in the dead of summer, you will probably sweat all night. If you are going to bring a light bag in the winter, you may end up freezing and having a miserable time. Without protection, you are running the risk of developing hypothermia.

Bring a survival kit on the trip and keep handy all the time. You should have a bandanna (to use as a sling or tourniquet), wound coverings, something to use for sprains, matches, a knife, tablets to purify water and a compass in your kit. This survival kit may be what keeps you alive if you get lost and the items in it are indispensable in a survival situation. Always keep it nearby and never leave it behind at the campsite.

A bandanna or a handkerchief can be beneficial to bring on your trip. Not only can it keep the hair out of your eyes, it can also be a sack to carry things, a towel to dry your hands or a potholder to grab your coffee pot from the fire. There are countless other uses for such items, so try your best to remember to bring a bandanna or a large handkerchief with you.

Dryer lint is a great item to bring if you are trying to start a campfire. Around four weeks prior to camping, start keeping the lint that you clean from your dryer filter. Simply hang a plastic bag near the dryer and stash the lint in the bag as it collects. Your kindling will be ready for you to grab on the way out the door for your trip.

Pack the duct tape. Duct tape is good for so many things. You can use it to repair holes in tents, inflatables, shoes and just about anything else you can think of.

Camping is one of the best ways to take a break from everything. You can take a break from reality and enjoy the wonders of nature. Use these camping tips to make your next trip a memorable one.
