How to Install Doorway Curtains
- 1). Hang a screen doorway curtain using hook-and-loop tape. Purchase hook-and-loop tape with an adhesive back. Lay the tape across the top edge of the screen doorway curtain to measure it. Cut the tape to the necessary length. Remove the backing, stick one side of the tape to the wall above the door and the other to the top edge of the screen doorway curtain. Roll up the screen when not in use.
- 2). Hang a beaded curtain using hooks. Screw one hook on either side of the top of the doorway at the corners. Insert the hooks just outside the door casing so the beaded curtain will completely cover the door opening.
- 3). Install a swinging curtain rod over the door to hang up fabric curtains. This allows you to close the curtains when you want privacy but open them when you want light. Attach the curtain rod above the door casing on the same side as the door hinges. Hang fabric curtains on the rod. Swing the rod out when you want the curtains open and swing it closed to cover any glass in the door.
