How to Damp Proof a Concrete Foundation
- 1). Mix together a bag of stucco with water, following the instructions on the side of the stucco bag. It should have a thick, frosting-like consistency.
- 2). Spray the wall area with a spray bottle filled with water until it is moist.
- 3). Wet your trowel.
- 4). Smear the stucco, starting at the bottom of the wall, in an arc. Make small arcs until the entire wall is covered in stucco. Smooth the wall out with your dampened trowel. Allow the plaster to dry for 24 hours.
- 5). Apply damp proofing liquid to the wall with a paint roller.
