When Business is Good, Don"t Forget Those Starting Out

105 11
It's been a little while since my last post. Things have been extremely busy-which we are ecstatic about-and it's easy to let things slide when that happens. It's also easy to forget those who have purchased a home business through you. And actually, when you are busiest is when they should be receiving extra support through you rather than less.

The company we have our home business through is known globally for their continuing support, training and team participation. And those that have joined the ranks in our business have done so-in a lot of cases-because of that support and training. So it is important for us to be vigil in our availability to those people and to continue to offer the same level of that support and training as they can receive when things aren't quite so hectic.

I've had people contact us to see what we are doing with marketing, a web presence, with our websites, and on social media. Taking the time to offer tips, advice and fresh ideas can make all the difference to people you have brought on board with your opportunity. By being there consistently, you can help to determine their success. When things are busy, we let others know what has been working for us and that way they can customize their marketing plans to try to obtain the same success.

I also found myself lagging in our regular participation on Twitter, Facebook and other social sites as well as my blog postings. I really had a wake up call when an avid blog follower left me a message asking when they could expect my next post. Sure, I knew we had people subscribed to our blog through our RSS feed or via our email form, but I guess I didn't really place enough emphasis on the fact that they looked forward to those "fresh" postings and the tips and insights that we offered. So here I am...and I think it's appropriate to address that tendency to let things fall by the wayside when business is booming.

We've actually sat down and worked out a schedule so that one of us can always be available to team members. We also have decided to dedicate a set amount of time each day in our continued efforts in social media field, updating our site, blogging and participating on forums. This means that no matter how our business is doing, we will make it a point to be consistent in those key areas. And we all know that consistency is one of the most important things in a home based business.

If you find yourself struggling to keep up with things when your business takes off, try to remember that those who joined your opportunity may be still ramping up and may possibly need that support and training and ongoing mentoring. It is what will separate your business from a lot of those out there that sign people on and then leave them to their own devices. By being there and proceeding to do the things you did when you started out, will only serve to keep building your business and ensure your continued success!
