How to Get the Lowest Gas Prices: Grocery Reward Programs
- 1). Sign up for a gas reward card at your local grocery store. Safeway, Kroger, Winn-Dixie and Stop and Shop are just some of several grocery stores that offer gas rewards cards.
- 2). Find two or more family members who shop at the same grocery store and would like to participate in a gas savings plan with you. In most cases it is easy to add family members to your account with the same last name and address.
- 3). Gather details of restrictions on your particular gas reward program. Most programs offer 10 cents off for every $100 spent in a 30 day time period and allow you up to the price per gallon in potential savings. For example, once a month, someone in your family could fill up his car for $1.50 a gallon or less.
- 4). Take turns filling up with greater savings. With three or more people using the same card, the reward points should build up faster than if you use one gas reward card on your own, even if two people in your group fill up in the same month.
