Rose Hips Benefits

What are Rose Hips?

Rose Hips are quite simply the red fruits that come from rose bushes. They are said to have over 50 times more vitamin C than what you would find in 1 orange - this was impressive news to me. In addition they are full of vitamin A which is effective in preventing premature ageing of the skin.

So what are some of the Benefits?

There seems to be many rose hips benefits to be taken from the fruit, the petals or the seeds themselves, so let's take a look at some of them:

- The oil is taken from the seeds of the fruits and is known for being a very effective antioxidant. These antioxidants help to protect and repair the skin from ageing prematurely. The oil is also great for rehydrating the skin especially for those of you with dry skin conditions.
- The fantastic oil is also used for diminishing scars through its cell regenerating qualities, enabling the skin to repair and creating elasticity.
- Other benefits include using the oil on stretch marks. The oil enables the skin to become more elastic, replacing torn skin tissue.
- Helps when applying to dry damaged hair.

The fruits of rose hips can be eaten and are quite tasty. They can also be used to make a tea which again is full of antioxidants which can help fight against the common cold.

There doesn't seem to be much that rose hips can't help with, from the common cold to scar repair, this is a great product and best of all is it natural. These are the kinds of products we like to write about as they don't need to be full of chemicals that you have never heard of - its just all natural.

To make the tea and oil is pretty simple to do, so you could try making it at home yourself provided you have the rose hips of course. For the tea simply add some rose hips into boiling water (without the seeds) - I said it was easy. To make the oil simply add crushed rose hips into almond or olive oil and leave for 4 weeks before use.

If you don't have the patience or time to make your own then we recommend the product at the top of this page as being the best of the best.

Good luck to all of you with your skin or hair care issues and we hope you found this article useful, and thanks for reading
