How to Make Royalty Chocolate
- 1). Using the smallest holes on the cheese grater, grate the chocolate square into the bowl.
- 2). Whisk in 1 to 2 tbsp. boiling water until the mixture is a thick paste.
- 3). Switch to using an electric mixer or transfer the chocolate to a blender (see tip).
- 4). Scrape out the tiny specks from the inside of the vanilla bean and add them to the chocolate base. These specks are the actual vanilla beans. What is known as the bean is really the vanilla pod.
- 5). Carefully pour the rest of the boiling water into the chocolate and add the ground chili or black pepper.
- 6). Turn the mixer on low speed to combine the ingredients. Increase the speed to high and beat until the chocolate is foamy.
- 7). Chill the chocolate mixture in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours. It does not have to be completely cold, but about room temperature. You can also freeze it for 10 to 20 minutes to hasten the chilling.
- 8). Beat the chilled chocolate once again until a thick head of foam or froth appears on the top. Pour into the serving cup and drink immediately.
