How do I Install a Stereo in a Mazda 3 2005 Sedan?
- 1). Park the Mazda 3 on level ground.
- 2). Unscrew the gear knob with your fingers. The knob is located at the center console of the Mazda.
- 3). Pull to unclip both console pieces located around and behind the gear shift, using a trim removal tool.
- 4). Remove the two screws at the bottom of the center console, using a cross-head screwdriver, counterclockwise.
- 5). Maneuver the plastic piece located on the right side of the glove box and pull the glove box down to gain access to the bolt that connects the center console to the Mazda. Remove the bolt using the cross-head screwdriver.
- 6). Slide the console downward to get access to two pink screws found on both sides of the back of the stereo, and remove the screws using the cross-head screwdriver.
- 7). Pull to detach the wiring and aerial (a small black component) located at the back of the stereo, and slide out the stereo from the Mazda 3.
- 8). Repeat the steps in reverse order to install the new stereo.
